HostMy® API Organisation Hierarchy Explained

HostMy® API has a default Organisation Hierarchy that will help categorise API Data and will become increasingly invaluable as more APIs are hosted:



When creating an Organisation Hierarchy, a HostMy® API User can define any “text value” that best describes their API Data or just accept the default values provided by HostMy® API as New Child Entities are created. An example Organisation Hierarchy might be:



Versioning of API Data is achieved by only permitting API Data to be attached at a Version level of the Organisation Hierarchy, therefore a full Organisational Hierarchy will need to be created before API Data can be uploaded to HostMy® API. API Data attached to a Version can be overwritten, but for Production uses it is recommended that a new version is created for each variant of the API Data.
